Southwest Airlines pilot was Navy aviation trailblazer

18 Apr 2018 12:47 | Anonymous

Captain Tammie Jo Shults was calm and professional as she piloted Southwest Flight 1380 to a safe landing after the left engine exploded.  But she's been flying jets for three decades -- starting with Navy F/A-18s.  Read about her background in this New York Times ARTICLE.

Listen to her conversations with AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL.  She sounds as calm as a bus driver reporting a flat tire.

Member of Congress wants Shults HONORED.
