About Us

Who we are

"Citizens in Support of the Sea Services"

Chartered in 2001 the Lake Washington & Everett Council is a local Council of a national, over 100 year old, non-profit organization of citizens providing meaningful support to the men and women of our Sea Services (U. S. Navy, U. S. Coast Guard, U. S. Marine Corps and U. S. Flag Merchant Marine) and to various Youth Organizations in our area.

Our Council has a primary service area the Eastside of Greater Seattle including Bellevue, Bothell, Issaquah, Kirkland, Mercer Island, North Bend, Renton, Redmond and Sammamish. In January 2015 we merged with the Everett Council, increasing our service area to include the Greater Everett area and Snohomish County.

Our Council provides financial support and recognition to the following “Adopted Units”:
  • USS Jimmy Carter (SSN 23)
  • Underwater Research & Development Detachment
  • Coast Guard Base Seattle
  • USCGC Healy
  • USCGC Blue Shark
  • USCGC Henry Blake
  • University of Washington NROTC
  • Liberty High School JNROTC
  • Naval Station Everett Sea Cadet Division 13-4 NSE

We put real meaning into the statement: ”We Support the men and women of the Sea Services.” For more information, please visit our website at www.lakewashnlus.org or contact us at info@lakewashnlus.org.

Homecoming Statue - Kirkland

A replica of The Homecoming© statue was dedicated in Kirkland on July 4, 2001. The statue overlooks Puget Sound from its location in Marina Park. The Homecoming© is dedicated to Navy families, and is Kirkland's "heartwarming expression" of family unity. Kirkland is also called "the city of outdoor statues" so The Homecoming© is also a participant of the city's artistic expression.

The Homecoming© statue was sponsored solely by donations from local businesses and individuals who wanted to express their appreciation to the families "who also serve."
