    BRONZE STAR PRESENTATION

    Navy Leaguers are invited to attend a Bronze Star presentation to Mr. Paul Buerger by RDML Gary Mayes, Commander Navy Region Northwest, at Patriots Landing (in Dupont) on Wednesday, January 25th at 12PM. Mr. Buerger was recommended for the Bronze Star with Valor for his Naval service between July and November 1971 in the Republic of Vietnam. Please RSVP with Syl Wiles at trainingofficer@walegion.org if you plan to attend.

    The December accident occurred on deck at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, and led to the temporary grounding of EA/18G and related aircraft.  Read the UPI story HERE.

    The guided missile destroyer arrived in Everett Dec. 23.  Part of the task was a joint fisheries enforcement patrol with embarked U.S. Coast Guard personnel.
