Naval Station Everett updating Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan
Naval Station Everett is updating an Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan (INRMP), laying out a five-year strategy that helps guide Navy operations in geographic areas of responsibility from Everett to Arlington. The plan includes major environmental projects that support restoration, invasive plant control, marine mammal monitoring, fish and marine mammal studies, and forestry management.
The updated INRMP incorporates data from Navy-funded studies and projects with partners. The Navy is committed to good environmental stewardship and continued cooperation with state and federal agencies, regulators, and local tribes to ensure environmental compliance and protection. Engagement is key to effective planning for the base’s continued support of homeported Navy ships and Coast Guard vessels, as well as planning for potential support to future ships the Navy assigns to Everett.
Navy environmental programs help protect natural and cultural resources, while enabling our military to train and perform national security missions.
