    Chaplain Aloysius Schmitt lost his life during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor while saving shipmates, after the USS Oklahoma was bombed and capsized.  He will be posthumously awarded the Silver Star.

    Navy pilot Royce Williams was attacked by six Soviet MiGs during the Korean War, shot down four of them, protected his task force, made a near-impossible carrier landing, then followed orders to keep the whole thing quiet for 50 years.  And chances are, you've never heard of him.
